Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho held a meeting with artificial intelligence (AI) experts on the 8th and sought solutions to economic and social problems through AI.

Deputy Prime Minister Chu held a meeting with AI experts at the Seoul Government Complex this afternoon, including Professor Jaesik Choi of KAIST AI Graduate School, LG AI Research Institute Executive Director Choi Jeong-gyu, KT AL2XL Research Institute Director Bae Soon-min, Robotis CEO Kim Byeong-soo, and Alchera CEO Hwang Young-gyu. presided over.

Deputy Prime Minister Chu said, "The recent rapid development of AI technology is expected to not only create a huge market in itself, but also contribute to solving our economic and social problems." He added, "In particular, the improvement of productivity in industrial sites through the application and diffusion of AI “I look forward to improving the quality of people’s daily lives,” he said.

Experts said at the meeting that day, "Related technologies such as super AI and robots are developing rapidly," and "The daily routine of medical care, education, care, and safety is also accelerating. The government's active role is needed to support this." He emphasized.

Based on today's discussions, the government plans to supplement and develop measures to strengthen AI industry competitiveness, such as the 'National AI Routine Implementation Plan', which was recently discussed at the New Growth 4.0 Strategy Task Force (TF).

The Ministry of Strategy and Finance said, "In the future, we plan to explore the government's active role in industrial innovation through AI and improving the quality of people's lives through continuous communication with the private sector."
