The 'Seoul International Smart Factory Conference & Expo' and the 'Bu-Ul-Gyeong International Smart Factory Conference & Expo', which were held annually in Seoul and Busan, will be held in 2023 as the Autonomous Manufacturing World Congress (AMWC). It has been upgraded to a Congress and will be held for two days on June 20th and 21st at the Grand Ballroom on the first floor of COEX in Seoul. In line with the trend of advancement and evolution of smart manufacturing, we are introducing autonomous manufacturing, which is emerging as a new form of smart factory evolution, and looking into the future.
Autonomous production, the first core technology is ‘AI’
Autonomous manufacturing plants are the ultimate form of flexible manufacturing technology. Equipment and robots equipped with artificial intelligence interact to autonomously perform tasks related to product production, such as assembly, transportation, packaging, and inspection. It can be seen as an artificial intelligence-based future production system that can work with humans when necessary. ‘AI’ is considered the core technology for autonomous production factories. Many ‘AI’ technologies are scheduled to be showcased at the 2023 AMWC.
First, Machinalax, a global AI startup established in 2017 based on the vision of enabling people to focus on their work by solving problems in the industrial field, is introducing two types of industry-specific AI solutions, the 'MRX Series'.
MRX-ray is an AI solution that can monitor and detect abnormal signs based on core industrial equipment and facility data such as laser drills and motors. It connects data quickly using a universal data collection interface, and is characterized by the ability to apply a verified anomaly detection model to the actual production line within at least 7 days after connecting the data. The automated AI algorithm diagnoses the causes of unstable equipment conditions without the need for professional data analysts, and AI learns from accumulated data to predict the current and future status of the equipment in real time.
Next, MRX CtRL is a control optimization solution that links a data-based simulator (digital twin) with reinforcement learning. It provides control results for specific conditions through an AI model-based simulator that learns actual data generated from industrial environments and processes.
INEEJI, founded in 2019 under the banner of ‘the most accurate prediction,’ is also participating. Based on explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) prediction technology, INEEJI contributes to reducing industrial electricity and energy costs and improving productivity and quality through process optimization within various manufacturing industry processes such as steel, oil refining, chemicals, and cement.
Currently, INEEJI is focusing on process optimization for electric furnaces and heating furnaces in the steel process, and optimizing the kiln process in the cement manufacturing process, starting with the process optimization artificial intelligence prediction solution 'INFINITE OPTIMAL SERIES™', as well as chemical and INEEJI is supplying solutions to various industries, including striving to optimize oil refining processes.
At this event, theINFINITE OPTIMAL SERIES™, an explainable XAI-based process optimization prediction guidance solution, will be showcased. The INFINITE OPTIMAL SERIES™ consists of three models: △AI prediction-based solution 'PREDICT' △AI operation-based automatic control solution 'EXPLAIN' △Predictive AI solution 'COSTSAVER' that helps improve product spreads. Companies can apply the solution to improve productivity within the process. Maximization of production profits can be achieved through energy savings, increased production, and stable quality.
