Gyeonggi Province announced on the 23rd that it will hold the 'Gyeonggi Startup Summit South Summit Korea' for three days from the 25th to the 27th at the Suwon Convention Center, where startups and investors from around the world will gather.
In particular, the province planned this expo in collaboration with 'South Summit', the first global startup platform in Korea, to strengthen overseas investment attraction for startups.
South Summit started in Spain in 2012 and has led to the production of over 7 unicorn companies with a cumulative investment of approximately 13 trillion won over the past 10 years, and is the largest startup expo in Southern Europe.
This expo aims to expand investment attraction opportunities for domestic and international startups, provide a meeting place for building a global startup network, and realize the vision of the 8th local government of Gyeonggi Province, 'Startup Paradise in Korea'.
The summit consists of competitions and exhibitions by participating startups, 1:1 matching consultations with investors, lectures, and seminars where you can experience the latest technology trends.
More than 100 investment companies that have pre-registered will participate, and more than 300 startups will operate consultation booths.
IR opportunities have been given to more than 1,000 startups through online and offline pre-competitions, and it is expected that more than 10,000 general visitors will visit the site.
In approximately 250 exhibition booths, promising domestic and foreign startups, including 30 finalists who passed the global startup competition, and domestic and foreign tech companies such as Nvidia, Amazon Web Services, Kakao Enterprise, Rebellion, and Luton Technology will promote and exhibit their products and technologies.
There will also be over 50 lecture sessions with approximately 80 speakers, starting with a keynote speech by UCLA Professor Dennis Hong, a robotics engineer selected as one of the world’s top 10 genius scientists, followed by speakers from global investors, corporate representatives, executives, and professors, including Allen Taylor, partner at global venture capital firm Endeavor Catalyst, Nvidia Director Susan Marshall, Primer Sage CEO Lee Ki-ha, and KAIST Professor Jaesik Choi.
